During Carnaval weekend I went to Montañita with my good friend Jess who I have previous written about. In case you missed it, she is an undergraduate student from Michigan who is in Ecuador working at a safe house for young girls who were sex-trafficked. Okay okay, so Montañita is a beach notorious for its parties…which I am not the biggest partier, but I thought hey I’m young and might as well experience it once.
I am so grateful that I did, because I met some of the most wonderful people I have ever met. Camila an Argentinian photographer and videographer from Buenos Aires, and Sara, an Ecuadorian photographer for the fashion industry. These girls are so inspirational and very admirable.
Jess-fighting for human rights, always speaking her mind, and not being afraid to be herself unapologetically at all times.

Camila-creative, passionate, hilarious, and completely adventurous.

Sara-sweet, humble, and one of those people who is always kind no matter what or where.

(Totally feel like I just described the Power Puff Girls)
We didn’t plan it, but we kind of became a crew. We traveled all throughout Ecuador together whenever we could seize the opportunity, plus I was able to always speak and practice my Spanish with them 🙂
We have formed a friendship that will last forever and already have made future plans to travel to new countries together. I know that these gals will be in my life forever and I am so grateful for it because they are people I know want to surround myself with-they believe in me, I in them, and they inspire me to chase what I am passionate about. To me, those are people worth having near me…because it will keep on allowing me to be my best self!! I look up to these new and lifelong friends of mine 🙂 I don’t know what I did to deserve amazing humans like these in my life, but the captured instances that I have shared with them will last a lifetime, and for that I am thankful.
